Whom Do You Serve?

King Jehoshaphat was not a perfect king. But God commended him for several things. One was the way he commissioned judges. The king told them:

Consider what you are doing, for you do not judge for man but for the Lord, who is with you in the matter of judgment.” 2 Chronicles 19:6.

Whatever it is, “whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, AS UNTO GOD RATHER THAN MEN.” (Eccl.9:10; Col.3:23).

IT IS THE LORD CHRIST WHOM YOU SERVE.” Colossians 3:24.

Dad's Daily Devotional began as text messages to my family. I wanted my teenagers to know their father was reading the Bible. But they were at school by then. Initially, I sent them a favorite verse or an insight based on what I read each day. That grew into drafting a devotional readng which I would send them via text. I work as an attorney and an adjunct professor, and recently wrote a book called HOW TO MAKE A'S.
