“If I Perish, I Perish.” Esther 4:16

There’s a famous line in the book of Esther that everyone should know:

“For such a time as this.”

Mordecai was trying to encourage his adopted daughter Esther to use her power as queen to stop the king from killing all the Jews. She answered that if she approached the king uninvited, she could be killed. And Mordecai said, God will save the Jews with or without you, but “Maybe God has put you in the position of queen for such a time as this.” Esther 4:14.

Esther says she will do it and adds another famous line:

“If I perish, I perish” Esther 4:16.

She puts her life in God’s hands and He uses her to save the nation of Israel.

God has given each of us unique roles. He has given us gifts and opportunities where He can use us.

He has made you and prepared you

FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS.

Give your life and future and present to God. Surrender to Him and pray and tell Him you are available for such a time as this, for whatever He has planned for you.
